DVD: Peter Hart Master Class - Serious About Waves #3
In Stock     Available when stock last updated...
The forward loop - it's the daddy of all moves. To do one grants you immediate super-hero status on your local patch. But it is, of course, insanely difficult, wildly dangerous and should only be attempted by adolescents or those with a hefty life insurance. Shouldn't it?
This is surely the most ambitious windsurfing project ever. Coaching legend Peter Hart, ably abetted by looping aficionado John 'the Rock' Hibbard takes seven 'normal' windsurfers of both sexes, spanning all ages, backgrounds and body shapes to Fuerteventura with the sole aim of getting them to loop. What started out as a two week project spanned months - even years, and turned into a compelling, informative and often hilarious epic.
Along the way the loop is broken into minute detail, with masses of training tips and exercises. But most importantly the programme explores what it is that makes you suddenly capable of pulling the trigger and throwing yourself over the handlebars.
Much of Learn to Loop was filmed during a PWA Super X & Freestyle World Cup event where packs of the sport's idols are on hand to cajole, perform and tell their own looping stories.
Stunning demonstrations, horrible crashes, tears and laughter - this is a must-see, real life drama of the highest quality. Did the looping hopefuls make it? There is only one way to find out!
