| Suffering from cold hands but have always had issues actually sailing with any sort of handwear? Maybe it's time to try some of these open palm mitts from Neil Pryde? |
| Normally gloves cause the simple problem of making it very hard to properly grip the boom! Having an extra surface between the hand and the tube makes it necessary to hold the boom more firmly but that often results in extreme forearm muscle expansion. A close fitting suit will cramp the forearm muscles...so gloves are definitely not ideal! |
| However this open-palm design addresses the grip issue described by facilitating proper contact with the boom whilst also keeping the wind off the hand back area. Sure these are not as warm as a fully sealed mitten (here) but if you cannot get on with those, these might still tip the balance in favour of actually getting on the water! |
