| Tasked with producing a sail specifically for light-moderate wind conditions, the Neil Pryde Design Centre came up with the Helium, a sail that size for size generates more planing performance than any other ever produced! |
| Each size in the range is designed for the same wind conditions, do not think of these like conventional sails! When tuned correctly these sails will plane in F3-4 winds when normally something far larger would be required. |
| Helium sails should be matched to the user weight and not wind conditions! | | |
| The extra performance is achieved through the use of pronounced shaping extending further up than normal. Additionally less pre-set twist increases the effective power area and in combination with reduced luff curve the sail has a really soft and pumpable character. The luff is just wide enough to house two UltraCam's, important for mega shape stability yet easy handling. |
| Gusts of wind are taken care of by the manner in how NP's Progressive Flex mast technology allows the sail to twist open only when necessary. |
 | | | NP's UltraCam system is key to the Helium's performance - details here. | | | |
| If you're keen to windsurf regularly but hate the idea of owning a huge rig then the Helium should be in your plans. Sure it's not as fast as a pre-twisted sail but for light winds these are superb. View more info & films... |
