| Intended Use First released in 2009 the Helium has been providing users with a regular dose of freeride planing action even when it's only blowing a bft force 3-4, conditions that traditionally require vast board and rig sizes. |
| Unlike other sail designs each size in the Helium range is tailored to the same wind condition. Users should select the size specific to their body mass. An average weight sailor can typically be running a 7.5m in 9m conditions! |
| Design Information For 2010 the Helium retains the extra deep shaping and limited pre-twist that allows it to provide so much planing performance. A slightly lower aspect ratio accorded by the new Dynamic Compact Clew (DCC) makes the sail feel more compact and remain in greater control. The new smaller Freeride UltraCams permit the use of a narrower luff sleeve, the result is a further weight reduction and noticeably easier rotation. |
| It is important to use a NP Progressive Flex mast with the Helium as the design utilises the flex to automatically adapt when loaded by stronger wind. |
| Overview Exclusive to Neil Pryde using the latest design elements to deliver an unreal freeride experience even when it's not blowing really hard. Try one and be surprised by how much fun lighter winds can really be. |
| Also Consider The Hydrogen is a faster sail better able to deal with stronger wind gust - but needs increased area to deliver the same drive. |
