| The Zone has been a member of the Neil Pryde wave sail range since 1999 introduced when Jason Polakow joined the team. It now has a massive reputation being used by wave sailors around the world, slashing and burning in some of the most hardcore conditions that exist. |
| Out of the sails in the range the Zone offers the most precise performance. It sails very light on the back hand with the power positioned well forward and low allowing the foil to completely neutralise on demand. |
| The Zone for 2009 has adopted a slight reduction in luff curve to soften the foil and increase the twist making it much more forgiving to use. An increased amount of outhaul tension puts stability into the foil and really speeds up the response time between being power-on and totally neutral. |
| All sizes have 5 battens and no cams. The main window area offers great visibility so it's possible to keep an eye on the surf. The Zone is built tough throughout to allow it to survive the conditions it will often encounter. |
| If you're into sailing with a sail that effectively disappears in your hands then the Zone is a great choice, also perfect for general strong wind control use. |
