| All Neil Pryde masts use what's called Progressive Flex Technology, a bend curve and flex response that was specifically developed by the Design Centre back in 2003-2004 to allow the performance of the sails to move to levels never thought possible. Progressive Flex masts and sails were fully rolled-out from 2005 and the commitment remains for the foreseeable future. |  | | In simple terms NP masts become progressively more flexible along their length. This allows the sail shaping to be locked low offering control and stability even when heavily loaded. At the same time the lower leech can be pre-set firmer, this allows the sail to plane earlier, feel more responsive and deliver improved upwind performance.
