About Riks!
Our main business is the supply of windsurfing and related equipment through this internet site and from our premises.
Our preferred contact method is via email, but do feel free to call or Skype if you prefer. If we are unavailable just leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. Please remember we operate with a small team to offer you a high level of experience, along with a personalised service.
Our premises are located about five minutes drive away from Rutland Water's south shore, a huge man made reservoir in the heart of the UK countryside!
Equipment can be viewed (by prior appointment) in our spacious showroom, generally at anytime, or when we are deemed to be specifically open. We are also happy for web orders to be collected if arranged with us in advance.
Customers in all areas of the European Economic Community (EEC) can shop at Riks live online. We are happy to supply goods worldwide, but non EEC customers should either send requirements through the store for a quotation (see option at the checkout stage) or get in contact with us via email.
Rest assured that no matter where you are we will do our utmost to offer you the highest level of service and back up.

Payment
No orders will be dispatched until full payment has been fully received and funds have cleared, unless expressly agreed otherwise in advance by Rik.
EEC Customers
We can accept payment in £ GBP Sterling via these methods:
- Cash (only if collecting the from the store)
- Card (most credit and debit cards accepted via World Pay)
- Pay Pal (if you have an account you can select that option)
- Direct Bank Transfer (we will send you our account info)
If you prefer to pay in Euro currency that is also possible...
- Cash Euro (ask for the rate before arranging collection)
- Bank Transfer Euro (we will send our Euro account info)
Non EEC Customers
We only accept payments via direct Sterling or Euro bank to bank transfer. Only existing overseas customers can ask for credit card payment options when placing an order with us.
Please note we no longer accept cheque payment, thank you.
 
Pricing, Specifications & Availability
All items shown on this site are subject to specification and price change without notice. We will where possible advise you of any variation before processing your order.
Although we try to keep everything in stock and site quantity levels updated (update time and date shown on the store entry page), implied availability is not a guarantee of such. We will confirm availability shortly after an order has been been received, or in advance if specifically requested to do so.
All online product pages display prices based in GBP Sterling and include, where applicable, UK VAT @ 17.5%. Prices can also be displayed in Euro or USD using the currency box.
If you live in and select a VAT exempt location for delivery (eg. Channel Islands), the online store can ship VAT free. If you're unsure please get in touch before placing an order online or simply select the quotation option at the checkout.

Satisfaction Guaranteed
We want you to be happy with your Riks purchases. If you're not, please get in contact immediately so we can help put any issue right. Our business is built on honest customer service and we constantly strive to further this.
If you remain dissatisfied with anything purchased from us online, we will provide a replacement or refund if the item(s) is returned within 7 days of receipt. Returned goods must be unused and in the original packaging/condition. Exchanges or refunds are processed within 30 days of receipt.
Returns require pre-authorisation, information about how to obtain such can be found on the delivery note fixed to the exterior packaging in the 'documents enclosed' wallet.
Return carriage charges, insurance cover and proof of shipping remain the responsibility of the sender. We can arrange collection for the return of larger items but please note that this is a charged-for service unless agreed.
In instances where refunds are appropriate, these will be made by the same method as the original payment. Carriage paid is not normally refundable unless otherwise agreed.
 
Manufacturer Warranty
If you experience an issue with your purchase covered by the statutory manufacturer warranty within the stated time frame covered by such, please contact us for assistance.
Delivery Times
All orders are processed promptly and dispatched usually within 1 working day. Delivery times vary depending upon your location and the item(s) you have ordered...but allow:
UK: 1-3 Working Days (express services also available)
Europe 3-5 Working Days / Worldwide 7-10 Working Days
We will provide and estimated delivery time when we confirm your order via email. Most orders need to be signed for.
Important Delivery Information
Although we have full confidence in the shipping services we use, there is always a possibility something could go wrong.
All orders are checked and wrapped thoroughly before dispatch. Deliveries are covered by our liability insurance should loss or damage occur in transit beyond our control.
Regardless of whether your order appears to have arrived in good condition, it is important to either check the goods before the delivery agent leaves, or if they are unwilling to wait then simply request that the documents are marked as 'goods damaged' just in case. As a last resort, refuse the delivery. Failure to follow these guidelines will prevent us from being able to make a successful claim.
As the receiver you or the person accepting the delivery are wholly responsible for the goods from that point onwards. We and the handling company cannot accept any further liability. Please inform us in writing (email fine) immediately of any missing or damaged items.
We cannot be held responsible for associated loss, implied or otherwise, as a result of delays with shipping, or whilst damaged or missing items are corrected and/or replaced.
