| The wind was a fairly average force three when I launched, not really enough to normally tempt me out, but with the Helium I was planing most of the time! Certainly once onto the plane (a bit of pumping helped at times) there was no stopping it and sure I would have been going with the 6.5m model had one been available. |
| The wind progressively strengthened throughout the session to the top end of a force four, although this in normal circumstances wouldn't have been an issue for me with a sail of this size, the Helium was extremely powerful and was really giving me a work out! That said it remained very stable and easy to handle so wasn't a problem, I was however certainly missing the chance to lighten the handling further with the 6.5m. |
| Personally i'll be using a board of approx 66cm width / 110l with the 6.5m Helium to cover my general recreational freeride sessions in the future. It's a great bit of kit, you really must try it! What a way to go without using huge board and rig sizes! |
