August 2008 - JP Australia Windsurfing 2009 August always marks the formal release of the new board range from JP Australia, most of which we have in stock already. For 2009 there's 46 individual shapes that with the various construction technologies available allows us to offer 77 boards across 11 model ranges! It's going to be a brilliant year with more choice, higher performance and the most vibrant range ever produced. Highlights include the much talked about Twinser Wave, resulting from the input of new team rider and double wave champ Kauli Seadi joining the team. There's been some specialisation in certain areas with the likes of the Freestyle and Super Sport series offering higher performance than ever. A new range called Fun Ride has also been introduced, this has been key to allowing the designer to increase the performance of the X-Cite Ride, and in turn the Super Sport ranges without leaving any bases uncovered. Construction wise the proven Pro Edition technology (utilising Carbon-Kevlar) continues to be offered in most ranges offering a very high level performance whilst being durable enough for everyday use. There's an exciting new build that's also being offered this year for a couple of the Super Sport sizes, it's called Gold Technology; the basis for this is Honeycomb Sandwich, a very light and stiff yet tough construction that should raise performance to new levels. The MKV Slalom's will arrive at the end of the year. Pro Wave - Some small underhull changes to improve stability in higher speed turns. More range of use. Twinser Wave - New twin fin to be super loose & slashy, will rip along and carve waves up for breakfast. Real World Wave - Now with extra control for critical moments, these shapes carve & control better than ever. Freestyle Wave - The planing ability & speed has been increased whilst the carving is also better than ever. Freestyle - The 'pop' factor has been improved to make aerials easier, also slides better than ever. Super Sport - The fastest freeride boards just got faster! More range of use plus more comfortable to drive. X-Cite Ride - The new range is sportier than ever, faster and more exciting. Still massive range and easy to use. Fun Ride - The easy freeride solution, great for blast and carve use. Sits nicely between X-Cite Ride & Funster. Funster - Still the ultimate tool for anyone getting into windsurfing! Fine from day one up to full harness & footstrap use. Young Gun - Range of boards for smaller riders! A choice of shapes from easy freeride, through freestyle, to full wave!
