February 2009: Snow Everywhere @ Riks! So after a fairly cold winter so far with little windsurfing action February has turned even more severe with a solid covering of the white stuff! Most notable was Wednesday night into Thursday that cut off much of the local transport network to our store but by the end of the day access had been restored and we managed to get our larger shipments out. The snow forecast for Friday wasn't supposed to affect the Rutland area but it has been falling this morning giving another hefty covering. Again there are issues with the road networks so although we are open for business access is not particularly straightforward. If you are planning to visit please check our status updates on the contact page and if in any doubt call before you travel. We are doing our best to dispatch orders as quickly as possible and we will advise you should there be any significant delay; the standard postal service seems to be most affected. Anyway whatever you're up to enjoy the wintry weather if you can and rest assured it will soon be spring...honest...so says our snow security man!
